Another Side of Stevenson Vestal
We imagine that since you receive this email you know a lot about Stevenson Vestal, The Workroom. But we’d like to give you a glimpse into another side of our company.
At Stevenson Vestal we have a family of artisans, support staff and administrators who work together, celebrate together and lend a hand to each other in times of need. The Stevenson Vestal Gifting Committee (learn more about the SVGC) provides a focus for numerous activities away from the sewing machines. Employee-financed and employee-managed, the SVGC sponsors fundraising events and quietly helps those in need in our own work family and in our community.

CSR Paul Serrano comes out on top.
The SVGC recently sponsored our Fall Festival Silent Auction. Employee groups donated items to create a dozen themed gift baskets. The friendly bidding frenzy raised total of $741.00 for SVGC’s charitable causes.
QCS Meeting Honors Longevity and Quality
Stevenson Vestal holds Quarterly Company Status (QCS) meetings that celebrate our artisans’ many accomplishments. This month our assistant operations manager reached a 20-year benchmark and the Swag Department earned the quarterly Quality Award in a QCS meeting that also honored five 5-year employees and nine Supervisor Training graduates. We also welcomed two new employees into our SV family.
Longevity and Leadership

Nothing means more to owners Dave Stevenson and Bill Vestal than the long-term relationships they develop with their employees. Both men praised Assistant Operations Manager Terri Yarbrough for her leadership and spirit on the occasion of her 20th anniversary of employment. Terri had already worked for one year at the former Smith Draperies before Dave and Bill arrived on the scene and purchased the company.

30 of our current employees have worked at Stevenson Vestal for more than 5 years, and among those many have surpassed the 10 and 15 year marks! We believe that our employee longevity record says a lot about our company and our commitment and mission in this industry.

Sometimes We Just Have Fun and Go Wild
Sometimes at Stevenson Vestal we do things just for the fun of it. This month we took advantage of a rare opportunity to see two Tiger cubs on the prowl on our front lawn after work one afternoon. We invited everyone to bring their children along for the fun.

Conservation volunteer Leslie Ray (our own Swag Department Work Leader Diane Adams’ daughter) and her tiger friends draw a crowd.

Now You’ve Seen Another Side of SV
We hope you enjoyed this quick tour into the “heart” of Stevenson Vestal. We feel proud of our work family, and we want you to feel proud to call us your partner in business.
