Super-Charged Yarder
Yarder to have new Invincibility Feature
The Stevenson Vestal Custom Yarder 2006 will super-charge your yardage calculating powers by offering a two-page at-a-glance format for individual products or product groups, Sample Work Orders, a Quick Yardage Chart with Ranges of Pattern Repeats and a companion Exact Yardage Guide with consistent Steps and Examples of yardage calculations. Now for the first time you have a choice: Do you want your yardage answer quick or do you want it exact? You decide, with this powerful new all-in-one reference. Get a sneak peak below.
Love at First Glance
The new two-page format consolidates an unprecedented amount of information in one place for each of our products or product groups. And product groupings, by the way, lets you in on similarities between products that you might not have thought about before. By examining groupings you'll learn which products have the same fullness and allowances.
Bringing Your Vision Into Reality
We think we have a great Workroom Order Form, and we believe all our customers should use it. But we value one thing even more than receiving orders on our form: getting the necessary information (and no more) to make the product that you have envisioned. And what better way to show you what we need than with these sample work orders? You'll find one on each two-page layout, right across from the chart page. And we've even co-ordinated the product details here with the Exact Yardage Guide Example (see "Look Ma, No Trigonometry" below). So you'll find out how to order it and how to plan yardage for the exact same product!
"My Client Wants An Answer, Now!"
The Quick Yardage Chart gets you the answer fast, and serves as a quick comparison from one product style or size to another. These charts should look familar to those already using a previous version of the Custom Yarder. However, we have organized the new charts around a reformulated set of finished lengths that reflect the lengths our customers actually request the most, in order to cover your needs more completely. Also, read on to learn about the innovative Range of Pattern Repeats...

"Short Fabric? What do you mean I'm Short Fabric??"
Hopefully you'll never have to say those words again if you use our new Quick Yardage Charts with their Range of Pattern Repeats. These new charts will always return the correct yardage, whether your pattern repeat measures 4.5", 23.75" or 32.25"! We have pages of hidden calculations (no, we won't print them) supporting each finished length. This ensures that you always send enough yardage for your particular pattern repeat.
Math Phobia Go Away, Come Again Another Day
The Exact Yardage Guide will help experienced number crunchers and mathphobes alike to figure precise minimum yardages with just a bit of practice. In every Exact Yardage Guide you'll find "The Numbers" (just the numbers you need, and no more), an Overview, the Steps and an Example. Hey, I thought you said you had trouble with math? Go to the head of the class. The teacher wants to give you an A+ with a Gold Star.

One Overview to Rule Them All
In the dark, murky past of Stevenson Vestal history we had conceived of different yardage formulas for different products. But our Custom Yarder charts have really always drawn on a single simple overriding concept, that: The number of cuts of fabric multiplied by the cut length equals yardage. Pretty simple, huh? When you see this message repeated consistently, with similar steps and clear examples every time you turn a page, we think your lightbulb will go on, just like that. ZBLING! See, we told you.
"Look Ma, No Trigonometry!"
Each Exact Yardage Guide will include not only an Overview and Steps but also a specific Example that follows the Steps line by line. And the example numbers here will match those on the Sample Work Order (see Bringing Your Vision Into Reality above). You can plug in your own numbers and come up with an answer in jig time. And you will end up with an accurate minimum yardage that will often improve on the chart answer. Yes, it will take a few deep breaths and some multiplication, addition, division and rounding. But no trigonometric functions, we promise.
