Leaders in the SV Workroom, left to right:

Assistant Operations Manager: Mary. Mary works directly under Bill to see that the entire workroom runs smoothly and up to our quality standards. She also has specific oversight of Draperies, Bedding and Accessories.
Second Assistant Operations Manager: Terri. Terri assists Mary and has specific oversight of Shades, Valances, Swags and Cornices, as well as currently acting as Work Leader for our Cornice team. Our Cornice artisans work individually to create Cornices from start to finish, with the exception of the boards. Cornice artisans at Stevenson Vestal make cornices, sunbursts, upholstered screens as well as all headboards. [Our Woodshop team operates in our sound-proofed and dust-controled Woodshop to create boards for all SV products that require them.]
SV Work Leaders recently enjoyed a getaway beach weekend together. Here you see Mary, Trudy, Rhonda and Terri viewing the glider at the Wright Brothers National Memorial Park. See Trudy in the foreground snapping a picture? Find out what caught her eye in the June Insight.
Bedding and Accessories Team Work Leader: Trudy. Trudy wears two hats, overseeing both the Bedding and Accessories we make. Each artisan on these teams make bedspreads, dustruffles, shams, pillows and tablecloths from start to finish.
Shade Team Work Leader: Marian. Marian leads our Shade team of artisans, where each artisan makes custom functional Shades as well as Shade Toppers from cut fabric to finished product. Shade Artisans must have a mechanical bent, since they each install Rollease shade lift mechanisms on their own creations.
Sometimes in life you just have to stop and watch the seagulls. This particular fellow faced into the stiff breeze and strutted past SV Customer Service Manager Lynn who accompanied the Work Leaders on their beach trip. Thanks for the photos, Lynn!
Valance Team Work Leader: Gail. Gail manages our team of Valance Artisans. Most of the highest custom designs owe their creation to the Stevenson Vestal Valance team, and these artisans remain ready for the task. SV Valance Artisans each make products from cutting to mounting, and the Valance portion of the workroom stores many custom patterns from years of challenges, trials and successes.
The SV Artisans-on-Retreat climbed the hill to the memorial to the Wright Brothers historic flights. They enjoyed a few precious sunny and blustery days along the NC outer banks. What do SV Artisans and the Wright Brothers have in common? Find out here.
Swag Team Work Leader: Diane. Diane leads a production team where Swag Artisans do their part to create Swags and Cascades as a group. Our Swag Artisans under Diane's watchful eye perform separate steps in the creation of Swag products that include cutting, sewing, forming and mounting.
Back in the workroom, refreshed and recharged from her weekend getaway, Rhonda pitches in where needed and tables a drapery.
Drapery Team Work Leader: Rhonda. Rhonda manages our Drapery production team as well as our Special Drapery team who handle all drapery embellishments and tiebacks, special mounting and hand-sewing of draperies. Drapery and Special Drapery Artisans take part in a team effort to produce each custom Drapery. Rhonda oversees artisans at each step in the fabrication process, including cutting, sewing widths together, hemming, tabling, pleating, and pinning.
