A Bay at the Races
Bay Awning Valance will complement Horse Race Artwork
In a first-of-its-kind fabrication, SV artisans have created a bay window awning valance. The innovative top treatment will ultimately race to the finish line in a Great Room with artwork on the nearby walls featuring horse races.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Paul Miller of MakeNest Interiors of Winchester, VA for catching our eye this month. Paul's awning valance uniquely adapted for a large Great Room bay window features a symmetric vine patterned face fabric and a multi-colored pin stripe flap with pattern matched welt.

Very Happy with SV
How does Paul Miller rate his Stevenson Vestal experience? He told me that his CSR, Paul Serrano, probably looks at a new order from him and says "Oh, here's another order from The Cornice King" because of how many cornices he's designed and ordered..."and I do like cornices. But I have ordered a full range of products through Stevenson Vestal, as you can tell from this bay awning. I'm very happy with Stevenson Vestal."

Fun, Festive and Playful
"My client has a lot of artwork depicting horse races. I wanted to create a fun, festive mood for this Great Room, and a suggestion of an outdoor awning. Overall, I wanted to convey a playful spirit in the designs for this house. This bay window has a built-in bench with cushions, and I wanted someone sitting on the bench to feel cozy under the generous projection of the awning. I also chose the awning with its flat fabric design to showcase the large pattern repeat of my print fabric."

Meet SV valance artisan Elaina
SV cornice artisan Elaina made this Bay Awning valance with the help of artisan Liz P. (not pictured). Says Elaina: "We feel particularly proud of the pattern matching in the bay corners. The real secret of this valance is that we constructed the frame and covered the valance in three separate pieces."
