A pleasing result
A focused color palette and a tailored design combine to keep the look of this treatment unified and pleasing.

How did we do it? It's magic!
The shaped header sets this treatment apart from most other custom designs. Designer Monica McGuire took care to select a random fabric pattern for her accent fabric, since it would appear only in narrow sections of the finished product.

Casual Elegance
Monica used words like "casual", "elegant" and "clean" in describing the style she was going for in this project. This room features walls of knotty pine that create a warm and rustic atmosphere for the new custom valances.

The artisan team: Liz and Co.
SV valance artisan Liz (at left) collaborated with woodshop maestro Mike and cornice artisan Wesley to create these valances. Liz says she is very proud of her work and enjoyed the challenge of centering the embroidered fabric and hand-sewing the tassels. Mike and Wesley contributed the labor to create the shapely header. Liz also credits her fellow valance team member Deloris for preliminary work on the valance. All in all, this was quite a team effort.
