Bobbined Fabric Revealed
Beware Bobbined Fabric
Fabrics with thickly bunched rows of loose threads on the back side, sometimes referred to as "bobbined fabric", can prove
inappropriate for use on certain custom window coverings. Take care to avoid using this type of fabric in windows with a southern exposure or strong lighting conditions.

The thick rows of threads on the back of this fabric bleed through to the front when held up to the light.
Making the Best of It: You can minimize the shadowing effects of bobbined fabric by using flannel interlining or blackout lining. But remember that for some products such as Flat Roman Shades, blackout lining carries its own problems.
