What happens when my order arrives?
We have found that new and experienced customer's alike often have questions about how Stevenson Vestal handles the orders they send. And the story of an SV order always begins with the answer to this question: "What happens when my order arrives at SV?"

Putting our hands on your fabrics
Immediately we begin a journey together that ultimately results in a new addition to the attractiveness and functionality your client's interior.

Receiver Lisa C. says, "Put that right here where I can unwrap it."

Unwrapping
We unwrap your fabric, the "blank" canvas upon which we will work our magic.

Receiver Kathy S. prepares to measure a horizontal repeat on a railroaded pattern.

Measuring
We note yardage, pattern repeat and fabric width for your fabric and also check in any trims or other materials you send.

Swatching
We swatch your order. And we'll make good use of this vital visual reminder of your material throughout the travels of your order through the workroom.

Digital Vessel
The Receiver gives the initial shape to the computer order—a digital vessel that will sail on its way, accompanying your fabric to its wondrous destiny! The Receiver includes background info about you and your company and all the details about the fabric she has just held in her hands.

Note the string around the fabric. Here, Kathy S. has taken special care to treat this fabric kindly—it has loose upholstery threads on the back side—by using string instead of masking tape. Other fabrics such as velvets receive similar tender care.

Tagged
The Receiver tags your fabric with identifying paperwork she has created and also attaches her order form as a cover sheet for your work orders.
