Summer is now in full swing and hopefully everyone is experiencing business in the same capacity.  Stevenson Vestal has certainly had a very busy year thus far and I would like to take a moment to recap some of our initiatives.

First let me say “thank you” to our many patient customers who endured along with us our database conversion this spring.  While technology is a wonderful thing, the pains of new systems and their implementation can certainly wear on the best of relationships.  I am glad to say that we have rounded a corner with regards to this conversion and as we continue to implement various components of this system we are confident that it will improve our overall ability to serve you better in the months to come.

During the month of June we will be rolling out new pricing for the remainder of 2008.  We have spent countless hours researching our pricing and I am proud to inform you that we were able to lower pricing on over 80 products while only slightly raising others.  This new initiative will position our company to be as competitive as any on pricing while still delivering the highest quality and customer service in the industry.

Another aspect of our growth is the area of motorization in our shade departments.  We have teamed with Somfy Systems to provide wireless shade motorization using a lithium battery operated system with multi channel remote controls.  This system is better defined in our new price catalog and your CSR will be able to answer questions in detail should you have them.

Lastly we are streamlining our Customer Service Group with the addition of an Account Development Coordinator.  As you are aware, your CSR is a vital asset in the completion of many projects.  We rely on their talents to limit mistakes while staying abreast of each and every need that you may have.  In order to better serve you we have added a team to ensure a proactive approach to your status letter and any special needs that you may have.  Over the coming months you will be contacted explaining this process in further detail.  While your CSR will most likely not change at all, you will have the added benefit of another staff person to keep you abreast of urgent matters with regards to your orders.  It is our goal to provide multiple levels of service so that we are a better resource to assist you in running a successful design business.

As I come to a close I would like to remind everyone our commitment to operating a successful workroom by providing you consistently innovative solutions to what the consumer demands.  Our economy is fragile and competition is tough.  By working together we can eliminate mistakes, share ideas and create solutions to steady our business.  If there are any needs that you have to grow your business please share those with us as we are motivated by the desire to become more customer focused.  Also, our growth is dependent on a strong base of referrals and we would greatly appreciate your assistance in recommending us to friends and colleagues within the industry.  Through relationships, businesses grow and flourish even in a soft economy.  We hope your prosperity continues and we are proud to be your workroom of choice providing solutions to keep your business growing.  Have a great summer in both business and pleasure.
