Stevenson Vestal a high-quality custom drapery workroom located in Burlington, North Carolina, and serving interior designers and retailers with weekly fabric pickup and delivery to locations in NC, VA, DC metro and MD. We specialize in hand-crafting custom draperies, shades, valances, swags & cascades, cornices, headboards, quilted bedspreads, dust ruffles, pillow shams and throw pillows utilizing Old World artisanship empowered by modern technology to create maximum value and fast, dependable turn times.

A Stevenson Vestal Timeline:

1960 Pete and Betty Smith open Smith Draperies as a retail drapery shop.
1971 The Smiths add wholesale manufacturing to their existing retail business.
1985 Dave Stevenson and Bill Vestal purchase Smith Draperies from the Smiths.
1987 The new owners cease retail operations, change focus to the trade only.
1990 Modern manufacturing facility unveiled, company renamed "Stevenson & Vestal."
2000 An addition to the facility increases workroom area by 50% to 22,500 square feet.
2004 A second addition increases the workroom area by 33% to 30,000 square feet.
2008 Automated fabric cutting and board routing, computer-assisted pattern making. .
2010 Online Status Letter arrives at secure customer login area of website.
