What is HAND GUIDED QUILTING?

Here our artisian Liz is demonstrating Hand-Guided Quilting on an outline quilted bedspread. Designer Sandra Long says "The handcrafting on the outline quilting is amazing!!"

Designer: Sandra Long of Laura's Draperies, Bedspreads & More of Norwalk CT

HAND-GUIDED machines are the mainstay of the industry. With this type of longarm, the machine quilts and you guide it manually.

The machine runs in constant mode. This means the needle is moving constantly at a set speed.

The traditional, HAND-GUIDED fabrication process of quilting creates a drastically different look from the MACHINE-QUILTED styles mass produced for stores.

We like to say "There are no straight lines in nature!
