Get to know our Roman Shade Lift systems

All of SV's Roman Shade Lift Systems are child safe.

In all 4 of our current lift systems, we use ring locks to render the lift cords tamper proof. The ring locks prevent the lift cords from being pulled out.

In all 3 of the Vako lift systems, all moving parts are sealed in the headrail. 

Two of the Vako lift systems are cordless control, meaning there are no cords involved in controlling the raising and lowering of these shades. The Crank system has an articulated crank arm that provides the lift. The Spring system has spring tension devices inside the headrail to provide the lift.

 

Classic Rollease

Our traditional RollEase lift system is a real work horse, and has served us well for several decades. Our customers know it and love it. 

The RollEase system is mounted under an upholstered wood board with a minimum projection of 2".

A front load option is available, which means the shade is mounted on the back of the board with a 6" valance on the front. 

Like all our board-mounted products, RollEase shades require "L" brackets to be installed to the wall or window.

 

Vako Chain Loop

Vako lift systems feature innovative Dutch design.

The Vako Chain Loop system operates like the Rollease with a loop chain control. But in other ways it is unique.

All our Vako shades feature a sealed headrail with a slim 1 3/8” profile, and all mechanical parts hidden and out of harm’s way.

The shade attaches to the headrail by velcro, which provides a secure mount and a clean look.

There is no wood mounting board needed for the Vako systems. Instead, metal mounting brackets are included that can be either wall or ceiling mounted. Once the brackets are in place, the head rail just clips into them.

Front load option is available for Vako shades, just like the RollEase, but even better! The shade mounts to the back of the headrail but without interfering with the brackets, so the front load shade just clips into place when installing.

 

 

Vako Crank

The Vako Crank can be used on all size shades, and features superb ease of use. The Crank requires very little strength to raise and lower even the largest of shades. Not only is it child safe with all the hidden parts in the sealed headrail and cordless control, it is also perfect for individuals with mobility issues.

This cordless control system is one step ahead of the evolving child safety standards, and will be fully compliant when the new safety standard does go into effect.

One hand crank may be purchased for multiple shades if desired. The crank arm features a hook at the top, making it easy to detach from the shade,  and it may be stored on a provided wall bracket.

 

Vako Spring

The direct manual control to raise and lower the Vako Spring shade is an attractive feature of this system. But since you are the lift system in a sense, it also needs to be on a human scale.

Therefore, the Vako Spring system is best for smaller and single windows. We are limiting the maximum size to 50” wide by 72” long, with some exceptions. We set this limit ourselves after a lot of testing, and feel confident that we’ve got it right to keep our customers satisfied with great functioning products.
