Under The Beams

The strong vertical design element of the Top Tacked Draperies contrasts in a striking fashion with the horizontal wood beams above.

Designer: Susie Stover, Ethan Allen- Shipley's, Asheville NC

The ceiling is defined by a series of dark, rich natural wood beams that span the width of the room, providing a rugged, high-contrast look against the lighter surfaces.
This bedroom features a serene, coordinated design with a focus on neutral tones and elegant window treatments.
The large windows are outfitted with horizontal blinds and framed by floor-to-ceiling cream-colored drapes hung from a continuous gold-tone rod.
The valance is crafted from a deep chocolate brown fabric. It is bordered by a distinct geometric fretwork or Greek Key pattern in a contrasting cream or tan color.
The valance appears to be board-mounted, which gives it a rigid, architectural quality similar to a soft cornice.
This room is designed with a traditional aesthetic, featuring a mix of rich textures and classic patterns.
