Drapery pins? Click the play button below to learn about drapery pins and what and how they are used.

Most pleated drapery styles are designed to accomodate pins at the top along the back.

The pin setting, measured from the top of the pin to the top of your drapery, will be determined by your selected drapery hardware.

Our standard pin setting is .25" - pinned for rings.

Be sure to specify your pin setting or hardware if you need a different setting than our standard.

If your drapery will be installed with carriers on a traversing rod, the pin setting is typically 1.5"

Pins can be easily adjusted on-site!

If you need your draperies to be slightly shorter, you can lower the pins along the back of the pleat header.

To add length, move the pins up higher. Just be sure to keep the pin setting measurement consistent across the panel.

The number of pins will be determined by the number of pleats on your drapery.

Be sure to click the play button below to watch our video about pleated drapery widths if you haven't already or visit our drapery width blog post for more great visuals explaining the number of pleats  per width.

We will also include a pin on the return side and overlap side of your drapery panel.

The return side is typically pinned back to the wall for full drapery coverage across your window.
