Precision Fabrication Behind a Custom Cornice

A well-designed cornice does more than finish a window—it shapes the architecture of the room. This custom cornice blends soft curves with disciplined structure, creating a silhouette that feels both refined and intentional.

The gently shaped bottom edge introduces subtle movement, while the tailored upper profile maintains a clean, architectural line. Together, these elements frame the window with quiet confidence, allowing the treatment to feel integrated within the overall design rather than simply applied to it.

Pattern Alignment That Supports the Design

For patterned fabrics, careful planning in the workroom is essential. In this project, special attention was given to seam positioning and pattern placement so the design flows continuously across the face of the cornice.

Rather than allowing seams to interrupt the pattern, the fabric was precisely aligned so the motif reads as a cohesive surface. This level of pattern matching requires thoughtful layout, careful cutting, and disciplined fabrication—but the result is a treatment that feels balanced and intentional once installed.

These details are often subtle, yet they are what distinguish precision fabrication from standard production.

Craftsmanship That Supports the Designer’s Vision

Custom cornices provide designers with an important architectural tool. By introducing structure at the top of the window, they add visual height, soften hard transitions, and help establish proportion within the space.

Each Stevenson Vestal cornice is fabricated to the designer’s specifications, ensuring the finished piece fits the scale of the room while maintaining the integrity of the chosen fabric.

Careful construction behind the scenes ensures the treatment installs cleanly and maintains its structure over time—allowing the designer’s concept to carry through from initial design to finished installation.

Where Design Vision Meets Disciplined Fabrication

At Stevenson Vestal, every custom treatment begins with thoughtful planning in the workroom. From seam placement and pattern alignment to structural construction, each decision is made to support the designer’s intent and ensure a refined final result.

Because thoughtful design deserves precise fabrication.
