Did you know that blackout lining has a layer of graphite in the middle to effectively block out the sun?
Unfortunately this can bleed through along the top, when the needle in our sewing machines forms pleats through the layers of fabric.
For draperies with darker colored face fabrics or busier patterns, this is hardly visible along the pleats after install.
But we do offer a solution for blackout draperies made with lighter colored fabrics called 'face on for blackout' illustrated below
But blackout lining isn't the only option for room-darkening draperies. Thicker interlinings are also available to help block out the sun and add body to your drapery with insulating properties to help maintain the temperature of the room.
We offer a standard 100% flannel, and a thicker bump interlining at almost twice the weight per ounce.
If you don't specify a certain lining for your next lined drapery quote, we'll automatically include SatinBlend white.
The finished quality of draperies lined in SatinBlend white will be extremely satisfying to most clients.
However, SateenDream is also available at a slightly higher price point, made up of 100% cotton as supposed to our standard cotton/poly blend.
