Railroaded Fabric

What does railroaded fabric mean?

There are SO many different fabrics to choose from  to complete your dream design for your client's home.

Oftentimes the width measurement of the fabric you select will affect your design choices for custom window treatments.

Standard Width Fabric

Railroaded Sheer Fabric

Standard fabric width measurements of fabrics are often 42", to 54" width, give or take a few inches, and most sheer fabrics up to 118" width (approximately).

Many sheer fabrics are available at 118" wide. In this case, you may choose to "railroad" your fabric for a seamless finish.

Click the play button below to watch our video and  learn more about fabric width and why "railroading" is such an important consideration for your design!
